Veterans Memorial

The Edina Park Board's Veterans Memorial Committee is leading an effort to build an Edina Veterans Memorial that will meet the approval of the City Council. Preliminary ideas include the development of a sculpture and granite structures to be permanently placed at Utley Park located at 50th Street and Wooddale Avenue. The purpose is to honor all Edina Veterans of our nation’s armed forces, but especially those Edina residents who have been killed in action. 

Volunteer
The Park Board is looking for volunteers (residents and non-residents) who are willing to commit to a two-year process that will include working with an architect and engineer, recommending a memorial design that truly honors Edina’s Veterans, researching KIA records, helping with fundraising and marketing efforts and assisting with the administration and implementation of this exciting project. If you have a desire to honor Edina’s Veterans and want to make a difference, the Park Board is looking for volunteers to either serve on the Veterans Committee or sign up to volunteer for one or more of a number of important related tasks, such as fundraising, marketing, construction, accounting and/or historical research.
