ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

CONTRACTOR PREQUALIFICATION FOR CONSTRUCTION OF WATER TREATMENT PLANT NO. 6
CONTRACT NO. PW 11-1

The City of Edina, Minnesota, is seeking qualified general contractors for construction contract for the Water Treatment Plant No. 6 Facility Contract. Firms must have the necessary resources, capability, experienced personnel, satisfactory safety record, and sufficient capital to complete the contract within the time allowed by the project schedule. Firms experienced in satisfactory and timely completion of projects of similar scope, size and complexity are highly encouraged to submit their qualifications. Only contractors meeting the minimum qualification requirements will be invited to bid.

The last date to submit a fully completed questionnaire is 35 days prior to the bid closing date. General Contractors are encouraged to submit pre qualification packages as soon as possible, so that they may be notified of their pre-qualification status or omissions of information to be remedied, well in advance of the bid advertisement for this project.

Bid closing date is expected to be: April 1, 2011.

Answering all questions in the questionnaire, providing information about current bonding capacity, and notarized statement from surety are required. The City of Edina will use these documents as the basis of rating Contractors in respect to qualifications to bid. The City of Edina reserves the right to check other sources available. The City of Edina’s decision will be based on objective evaluation criteria.
