ORDINANCE NO. 2011-01
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE EDINA CITY CODE ESTABLISHING A MEMORIAL FOR VETERANS


THE CITY OF EDINA ORDAINS:

Section 1. Chapter 12 of the Edina City Code is amended by adding Section 1255 to provide as follows:

Section 1255 – Memorial for Veterans

1255.01 Construction of Memorial. The City shall erect, equip and maintain a memorial in recognition of the services performed by veterans of the United States armed forces. The memorial shall be constructed at Utley Park at 50th Street and Wooddale Avenue in Edina.

1255.02 Supervision of Memorial. The City’s Park and Recreation Department shall be responsible for the supervision and control of the memorial following its completion.

Section 2. This ordinance is effective immediately upon its passage and publication.
